Tuesday July 26
Today was a very busy day in which we accomplished a lot breaking up into groups. The day began by completing the varnish on the tables and cabinets, getting them ready for delivery to the school.
The construction team traveled up the mountain about 5 minutes from the clinic to the house where they cut bricks, hauled and sifted sand. The haul up the hill was hard work but much needed and appreciated.
The shelving team made a big dent in this project. The wood which was ordered on Monday was delivered and we cut, screwed and assembled until late in the day.
The stove building team went back to a family who had a stove installed on a previous day, to make some minor adjustments to their new stone made wood burning appliance. Then off to another family where they installed their new stove. The look of happiness on this families faces was priceless.
Another small team of two went up to the school and cut vegetables and made many new friends in the students and mothers volunteering for kitchen help.
In Christ
